Our successes include:
- Two patents for a Platelet Concentrate Collection Set™ designed for Implant Innovations, Inc.
- Two patents for our centrifugal filtration device and disposable cassette under an NIH grant.
- Three US Patents and six patents pending for inventions related to a disposable plastic blood processing
set, new disposable rotating seal, and a new disposable plastic fluid management cassette with built-in
valves, pumps and sensors to manage the sequential addition of multiple processing reagents.
- Patent for design and development of complex centrifugal separators. One of the centrifugal separators
processed batches of six units of whole blood automatically and one of the centrifugal separators acted
as a continuous flow device for the apheresis of cellular components.
- Two patents for the development of a portable version of a large, floor model product, which included
the design of a miniature centrifuge, valves, pumps, cabinet, as well as all new electronics and software
as well as a low-cost disposable set.
